Carol teaches Kindermusik
Growing up in a loving family that always found joy in helping others, Carol was deeply
influenced by her parents—her father, a Chinese medicine doctor, and her mother, a teacher.
Their kindness and dedication shaped her passion for supporting and teaching others. She began
learning piano at six and later pursued the flute, which became her gateway to college. Inspired
by the joy of growth and learning, she chose to study music therapy, combining her love for
music with her desire to make a difference.
With this passion in her heart, Carol pursued a Master’s degree in Music Therapy at SUNY New
Paltz after moving to the United States in 2011. Her dream was to bring comfort and healing
through music in a medical setting. However, life had another beautiful plan—marriage and
motherhood. She chose to pause her professional career to focus on raising her two wonderful
sons, embracing the joys and challenges of parenting.During this time, Carol’s love for teaching
blossomed. She started leading playgroups and teaching beginner Chinese at a local Chinese
school, seamlessly blending her music therapy background into her lessons. She also realized
how much she loved working with children.
Now, as she embarks on a new adventure as a Kindermusik educator, Carol feels like all the
pieces of her journey—music, teaching, and child development—are coming together in perfect
harmony. She is excited to continue sharing her passion for music and learning with children and
families, bringing joy, creativity, and a love for exploration into every lesson.
