Michele

Michele is a licensed Kindermusik Educator and creator of Singing Yogis

Michele is an early childhood music specialist with a Masters in Education from Harvard University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Music Education from Roehampton University (London, UK).

A New Jersey native, Michele lived in London for 18 years where she led education projects for the London Philharmonic Orchestra and was a founding member of two El Sistema music education programs: In Harmony Lambeth and the Nucleo Project.

Michele, her husband and three children moved from London to NYC in 2016, where Michele led workshops for the Little Orchestra Society, founded the WHIN Early Childhood Music Program in Washington Heights and taught preschool music classes at Third Street Music School Settlement. She is very proud to sing alto with the Oratorio Society of New York, performing at Carnegie Hall and The Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

As a music educator and a choral singer, Michele believes that singing and dancing should be everyday community activities, as they nurture joy, empathy and mindfulness, and have proven impact on health and well-being.

Michele and her husband Michael recently bought a house in Cold Spring and are enjoying hiking and hosting family gatherings here in the glorious Hudson Highlands.
